Third edition of Senior Film
The continuity of the program responds to the good results of the previous editions, as well as the determination of the Ministry of Culture to support the exhibition halls as a key link in the film chain and vehicle of access to cultural diversity. Likewise, ‘Cine Sénior’ aims to protect and respect the right of older people to participate in the social and cultural sphere, something fundamental for an active and healthy lifestyle.
In this edition, as a novelty, the program will be in force throughout the year, until June 2026, compared to the nine months of last edition. Tickets can be purchased both at the ticket offices of the exhibition halls and by electronic means.
The maximum allocation to finance these grants in 2025 amounts to EUR 8.5 million. Of the amount earmarked specifically for the aid, EUR 8.15 million, a maximum of EUR 7.25 million corresponds to the granting of the aid to the beneficiaries, while a maximum of EUR 90 000 will be reserved to meet the possible needs for an increase in the aid granted as a result of a greater execution of the planned one.
