- Previously, the delegate and the mayor have held a meeting where Martín has conveyed to him the commitment of the Government of Spain with all the municipalities of the Community of Madrid.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has been able to visit together with the mayor of the municipality, Apolonio Alcaide, on World Environment Day, the Vega del Tajuña Nature Center and its sports area, from where many activities aimed at the promotion and protection of the environment are organized. A centre that this year has been recognised as a European example of good practice.
Before the visit, the delegate and the mayor held a meeting where they talked about different aspects of the municipality and the collaboration that the Government of Spain provides to all the localities of the Community of Madrid with investments for their development or improve aspects of their daily life such as, for example, connectivity.
Martín has walked through the streets of the municipality together with the mayor to visit the different works and locations in two emblematic streets such as Calle Mayor and Benito Torres.
The commitment to the environment is also reflected in the activities of the municipality, in this case sports, such as the Trail del Caballero de Ambite which, since its first edition in 2021, brings together sport, history and nature and has been consolidated as a reference event in the Community of Madrid.
