The security device for the patron celebrations in honor of San Bernabé that will be held in El Escorial from June 6 to 15 has finalized its planning at the Local Security Board that has been held today in the town hall.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has co-chaired the meeting together with the mayor of the municipality, Antonio Vicente. Representatives of the Civil Guard, the Local Police, Civil Protection, the Community of Madrid and the government team of the Consistory have also attended. It has highlighted the reduction of criminal offences by 11%.
For its part, the Civil Guard has highlighted the importance of coordination with both Local Police and Civil Protection, as has been carried out in previous years, which has meant that there is a perception of security.

The security of other festive events that are planned during the summer and that require security coordination due to the different nature of them has been addressed, such as fireworks that, in addition to needing authorization from the Delegation, it is necessary to deploy firefighters, forest agents or Civil Protection, among others.
VioGene system
The mayor of El Escorial, Antonio Vicente, has conveyed to the delegate his intention to analyze the possibilities of adhering to the integral system of monitoring and protection of victims of gender violence.
According to the delegate, it is “essential” that El Escorial is within the VioGén system and has offered all the support of the Civil Guard and the Government Delegation to work on this “step forward”. She also reiterated the importance of municipalities in the region entering the VioGén system to increase the confidence of women victims.
