The subdelegate of the Government to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, co-chaired today the constitutive session of the Local Board of Security of Batres together with the mayor of the town, Juan Carlos Alañón.
Pilar Trinidad wanted to highlight the importance of having this collegiate body to facilitate the cooperation and coordination, in the territorial area of the municipality, of the Public Administrations in matters of security, specifically ensuring the cooperation and operational coordination of the Security Forces and Bodies that intervene in the municipal term.
In addition, the Government’s deputy delegate has encouraged them, as a next step, to study their incorporation into the VioGén system for monitoring and comprehensive protection of women victims of gender violence.
Other members of the government team and representatives of the Civil Guard, the Local Police and the Community of Madrid participated in the session.
The main indicators of criminality of Batres have also been reviewed, which are kept in figures far from those of the Community of Madrid. Therefore, the mayor wanted to thank the Civil Guard for its work and the good coordination it maintains with the Local Police, especially in the prevention of robberies and crimes against heritage in the area of the urbanizations.
Visit to the municipality
After the constitution of the Junta, the subdelegate has visited the municipality, with a stop at the Castle - Casa Fuerte de Batres, of Renaissance style, declared in 1970 Historical-Artistic Complex and Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), next to its old town, in 1985.
In it stands out the tower of the Homage and, in its history, its relationship with the poet Garcilaso de la Vega, who was Señor de Batres.
