The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, visited on Monday the Border Control Post (PCF) of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport.
In this PCF work personnel from the Agriculture and Health areas of the Spanish Government Delegation in Madrid, who are responsible for the inspection of food, drugs and other sensitive goods that require an inspection action.
Martín has held a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with the aim of continuing to make progress in the improvements related to achieving greater efficiency in the inspection procedures and to supervise the process of integration of a single official border control service made up of the services of Animal Health, Plant Health and External Health after the publication of Order PJC 756/2024.
Among the attendees were: the General Secretary of Agrarian Resources and Food Security, Ana Rodríguez Castaño; the General Director of Health of Agri-Food Production and Animal Welfare, Valentín Almansa de Lara; the General Director of Food, José Miguel Herrero Velasco; the Deputy General Director of International Relations and Community Affairs, Fernando Heredia Noguer; and the Deputy General Director of Sanitary Agreements and Control in Frontera, Carmen González Martín.
