The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, has today received the mayor of Torrejón de la Calzada, David Blázquez Baos, after his request to hold a meeting to discuss matters related to his municipality, exchange ideas and future plans.
Security has been one of the topics addressed in the agenda of the meeting, which has also been attended by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Álvaro Martín Palla. In this area, it highlights that the crime rate in the municipality, as of December 2024, was established at 28.52 for the last 12 months, which means a decrease of -1.41 points in relation to rate 2023, being much lower than the average of the CAM (57.1).
During the meeting, the government delegate stressed the importance of incorporating the local police into the System for the Protection of Victims of Gender Violence, VioGén, a proposal that has been well received by the mayor.
These meetings are essential to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the administrations.
