The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, co-chaired today the Local Security Board of San Martín de la Vega, together with the mayor, Rafael Martínez, in which the evolution of security in the municipality has been analyzed, highlighting a positive trend in the first months of the year.
In the meeting, in which members of the municipal government team, and representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection, Community of Madrid and Forestry Agents have participated, the government delegate has recognized the efforts of the Security Forces and Corps, stressing that the situation in the municipality continues to be favorable compared to the regional average.
In relation to the upcoming patron’s parties, a security device similar to that of previous years has been confirmed, with the support of the Civil Guard and complementary measures such as private surveillance in closed rooms and the strengthening of access controls. The City Council has highlighted the planning and forecasting of events to ensure safety at all times. The government delegate has thanked the institutional collaboration and has valued the work of Civil Protection.
The project to build a new office for Forest Agents on a plot ceded by the City Council has also been reported, and its development continues as planned. The Local Security Board has concluded with a general thank you to all the institutions involved for their commitment to security in the municipality.
