The security around the stadium will be strengthened, so it is recommended that all attendees come in advance to pass the established security checks.
The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device composed of about 1,500 components for the round of 16 of the Champions League 2024/25 that will play tomorrow Wednesday, March 12, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, in the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—; the Civil Guard; the Municipal Police of Madrid; Mobility Agents of the Madrid City Council; components of SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself. The presence of vigilantes will also be strengthened in the Metro service.
A capacity of 69,000 fans is expected at the stadium in Madrid.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
