The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, has today signed the document of constitution of the Local Security Board of Casarrubuelos together with the mayor of the municipality, Vicente José Astillero Ballesteros.
In the formal constitution of this Board, members of the local police of the municipality, Guardia Civil, as well as representatives of the Community of Madrid have been present. Eva Corrales, head of the Unit Against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in Madrid, has also attended.
On the other hand, the City of Cassarrubuelos has taken the first step with the accession to the Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between the State Security Forces and the Local Police Corps for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
The government delegate has acknowledged the effort by the council to incorporate its limited Local Police staff into the Viogén system. Francisco Martín stressed that “your gesture must inspire other municipalities to get all of them to join this Viogén system. We are going to continue working on this line and we hope that in a few months we can say that 100% of the municipalities in Madrid are included in the system”.
Together with the mayor, he thanked the municipality for its total commitment in the fight against gender violence in favor of the protection of all female victims.
Incorporation of all local police in the region into the VioGén system
In recent weeks, in addition to Casarrubuelos, other municipalities such as: Coslada, Ciempozuelos, Improvement of the Countryside, Aldea del Fresno, Moraleja de Enmedio, Navalcarnero, San Martín de la Vega, Cubas de la Sagra, Serranillos del Valle or San Fernando de Henares.
Currently, there are already 38 fully integrated municipalities: Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Boadilla del Monte, Brunete, Collado-Villalba, Colmenar Viejo, Daganzo de Arriba, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Guadalix de la Sierra, Las Rozas de Madrid, Leganés, Madrid, Majadahonda, Manzanares el Real, Moralzarzal, Móstoles, Nuevo Bazantón Sola, Torres de Alcuado

In addition, the delegate has stressed that Casarrubuelos is a safe municipality within the region where the crime rate has been reduced as in the entire Community of Madrid. “Today we take an important step because the constitution of these boards is fundamental for the coordination between the different State Security Forces and Bodies in favor of ensuring the safety of all neighbors and neighbors,” said the delegate.
