- Security will be strengthened around the stadium

The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device composed of more than 1,150 components for the match of the seventh day of the league phase of the Champions League 2024/25 that will play today Tuesday, January 21, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, in the Riyad Air Metropolitano stadium, from 21:00 hours.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—; the Civil Traffic Guard; the Municipal Police of Madrid; Mobility Agents of the Madrid City Council; components of the SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself. The presence of vigilantes will also be strengthened in the Metro service.
Some 1,500 German fans are expected to attend a stadium with a capacity of 66,000 people.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
