The subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, has co-chaired today with the mayor of Alcorcón, Candelaria Testa, the Local Security Board of the municipality in which the security and emergency device for the Christmas holidays has been revised.
It has been attended by several councillors of the Consistory; heads of the National Police and the Civil Guard; of the Municipal Police of Alcorcón; of the Firefighters; of the Group of Civil Protection Volunteers; of the Local Assembly of the Red Cross of Alcorcón and representatives of the Community of Madrid.
The deputy delegate of the Government congratulated the City Council and the Local Police for the operation, and wanted to acknowledge the daily work of the State Security Forces and Bodies and the extra effort they make during certain times of the year such as Christmas to ensure that the neighbors of the different localities of the Community of Madrid enjoy the events and celebrations planned in safety.
The meeting also reviewed the Winter Weather Plan that Pilar Trinidad valued, given the climate change context in which we live. It considers it essential that municipalities have this type of plans against climatic phenomena because “being prepared for the catastrophe can prevent the tragedy”.
