The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device composed of 1,777 troops for the match of the first day of the league phase of the Champions League 2024/25 that will play tomorrow Tuesday, September 17, Real Madrid and VfB Stuttgart, in the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, from 21:00 hours. This meeting has been classified as high-risk by the Anti-Violence Commission.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—; the Municipal Police of Madrid; Mobility Agents of the Madrid City Council; components of the SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
It is expected that 3,800 German fans will attend with tickets, although it is not ruled out that as many fans will attend without tickets.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
