The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, met this afternoon at the headquarters of the Delegation with Marina Marroquí, social educator and specialist in gender and sexual violence. As a popularizer and activist, she believes that prevention, training and awareness-raising are the way to eradicate gender violence and sexual assault. For this reason, it provides workshops on the prevention of gender violence in the educational field, to the general public and to specialists in this field.
For her extensive work she has been recognized with numerous awards and recognitions, such as the Menina Prize against gender violence or the Medal of Police Merit of the City of Barcelona.
With this meeting, in which he was accompanied by the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Delegation, Eva Corrales, the government delegate begins a series of meetings with specialists to address the increase in sexual assaults in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, as evidenced by the crime balance of the Ministry of the Interior for the first quarter of this year.
