The sub-delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, has met today with representatives of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, who have conveyed to her the main issues affecting the gypsy people in the region.
Pilar Trinidad has had the opportunity to get to know first-hand the work that the Foundation has been doing for more than four decades on different fronts such as education, social inclusion and the defense of the rights of gypsies in the Community of Madrid.
The Mission of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano is the integral promotion of the Roma community, from the attention to cultural diversity. This mission is aimed at promotion and social change to allow Roma people access to rights, services, goods and social resources on an equal basis with the rest of the citizenry.
