The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device made up of 2000 troops for the UEFA Champions League semi-final return match that will be played tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8, by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m. This meeting has been classified as high-risk by the Anti-Violence Commission.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—; the Municipal Police of Madrid; Mobility Agents of the Madrid City Council; components of the SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
It is expected that 4200 German fans will be present with tickets, at a stadium where 76,000 spectators will be present.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
