In the recording, workers from several of them participate along with the Secretary General, Pablo Izquierdo; the subdelegate of the Government, Pilar Trinidad; and, closing the interventions, the delegate of the Government, Francisco Martín.
About the chosen work
The work chosen for reading is ‘De bestias y aves’, by the Madrid author Pilar Adón, awarded with the National Narrative Prize, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, in 2023.
The jury chose his work “for its great originality, beauty, poetic richness and strength of language. The narrated story is as fantastic as it is close and recognizable. The work, written in an impeccable style that at times borders on lyricism, manages to immerse those who read in a disturbing, suffocating and dream-like atmosphere.”
Likewise, the jury stressed that “Pilar Adón, with her singular voice, out of fashion and trends, and with a sublime ability to imagine, builds atmospheres and environments of extraordinary nature that they absolutely trap.”
