The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, gave a lecture this morning on the role played by a government delegation in the articulation of the territorial administration of the State, at the Academy of Civil Guard Officers in Aranjuez.
The future commanders of the Benemérita, students of the Training Course for the promotion to commander of the Officer Scale, have been able to learn more about the tasks and functions carried out by the Government delegations in the area of an autonomous community such as Madrid, and those carried out by the Government subdelegations in their respective provinces.
Francisco Martín has highlighted his performance in favor of territorial coordination, serving as a link between the General Administration of the State and the Autonomous Communities, and ensuring coherence and collaboration in the application of public policies and services throughout the national territory.
It has also emphasized its work of directing and supervising the services of the State administration in the territory, together with that of political representation and the protection of rights and freedoms such as the exercise of the right of demonstration.
“Government delegations play a crucial role in ensuring the presence and functioning of the State throughout the territory, promoting collaboration and balance between levels of government,” he stressed.
