Plans Directors
A Master Plan of Conservation is a document that carries out a study from different points of view of the property (historical, constructive stages, changes of use, etc.) It includes a study of the uses and functions for better conservation, proposing a program of actions in the short, medium and long term.
These documents allow an in-depth knowledge of the building and its needs, as well as prioritizing the necessary actions. Currently, only the Parador de Santiago de Compostela has a Master Plan.
For Turespaña, the importance of the Conservation Master Plan lies in the fact that it is a necessary tool for the better conservation of buildings considered a Property of Cultural Interest, which allows a planning of future actions and helps in the development of conservation works by the detailed knowledge of the building, as well as to implement sustainability projects in the maintenance and rehabilitation of the historical heritage with tourist use.
