VioGen system
The Comprehensive Monitoring System for Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén System) was launched in 2007, in compliance with the Organic Law on Comprehensive Protection Measures against Gender Violence. Its objective is to integrate all the necessary information to protect the victims who suffer this type of aggression, and prevent and eradicate male violence.
The effective functioning of the system requires the necessary collaboration between the State Security Forces and the Local Police Forces. To this end, several Protocols and a Collaboration Agreement of the Secretary of State for Security with the municipalities establish the operational criteria and the channels of coordination.
