- The government delegate reminded the mayor of the obligation by law to implement a Low Emissions Zone in the locality
The government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, has met today with the mayor of Collado-Villalba, Mariola Vargas Fernández, with whom he has addressed the grounding of the A-6 Highway as it passes through the municipality, proposed by the Consistory to "facilitate the permeability of both parts of the city".
The mayor was accompanied by Adan Martinez, councillor of Urbanism; Victoriano Alcolea, engineer of the Area of Urbanism and Tomás Llorente, advisor of the Area of Urbanism.
The representatives of the municipality presented to the delegate the project elaborated for this basement, of a length of 550 meters, deepening the air ventilation systems within the infrastructure, the green and sports areas that could be installed on the roof or the construction of a parking lot.
Vargas pointed out that the council intends to present the project for financing through European Funds.
The project has been presented to the government delegate as representative of the Government of Spain, who has undertaken to transfer it to the Ministry of Transport and inform them of the steps to be followed for the evaluation of the project.
On the other hand, the delegate has placed on the table the obligation by law to implement the Low Emissions Zone in the municipality of Collado Villalba, given its number of inhabitants, and has provided the possibility of advice from the Government of Spain, for its development.
