The Government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, held a meeting yesterday afternoon with the new Director General of Civil Protection and Emergencies, of the Ministry of the Interior, Virginia Barcones, with whom he addressed the Civil Protection issues that fall within the Government Delegation. Among them, the situation of the aid files for the floods suffered on 3 and 4 September by several municipalities of the Community of Madrid, caused by a DANA.
A review has also been made of other actions of the Delegation in the field of Civil Protection, such as the Action Plan Against Ice and Snow DA-03, of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport or the Protocol of the Government Delegation of actions against snowfall situations in the Road Network of the State of the Community of Madrid, for the 2023-2024 campaign, among others.
Francisco Martin has wished Virginia Barcones “the best of fortunes” in her new position at the head of the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies.
