- Together they have toured the Museum of the Battle of Jarama, one of the few in Spain dedicated to the Civil War
The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, accompanied the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, on his visit to the Museum of the Battle of the Jarama, in Morata de Tajuña (Madrid).
The person in charge of guiding them on the visit was Gregorio Salcedo, a neighbour of the town and creator of this space thanks to the compilation work he has carried out touring the fields of tillage that in 1937 were a battlefield and collecting all the objects he has been finding.
In total, a space with eight rooms that bring together an important collection of personal objects, salvoducts, ration cards, maps, photographs, leaflets, helmets crossed by bullets, mortars, remains of food cans, lighters, weapons, cannons, bottles, newspapers of the time, coins or banknotes. With this, one of the few museums in Spain dedicated to the Spanish Civil War is formed.
