The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device composed of about 1700 troops for the match of the fourth day of the UEFA Champions League group stage that will play tomorrow Wednesday, November 8, Real Madrid and the S.C. Braga, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m. This meeting has been classified as ‘high-risk’ by the Anti-Violence Commission.
The operation, which will be responsible for monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of agents of the National Police —coming from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—, the Municipal Police of Madrid, components of the SAMUR-Civil Protection, the Fire Brigade, members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
The Madrid team expects a capacity of 68,000 spectators, of which 4000 will be fans of the Portuguese club.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all of them come in advance to pass the established security controls.
