The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held a working meeting today with Vicente Franco Fonticoba, head of the Civil Protection Unit, in charge of the aid files for the municipalities and neighbors affected by the September DANA in the region.
The review of the situation of these dossiers has been one of the central issues of the meeting, along with other work in progress and those planned for the coming months.
In addition to participating in the management of actions and measures aimed at the restoration of normality in areas affected by natural disasters, the Civil Protection Unit also has among its tasks the analysis of risks, the study of the implementation of measures to avoid or mitigate the adverse effects thereof or the elaboration of Civil Protection Plans containing lines of action to deal with situations of serious risk, disaster or public calamity that may arise.
