The Government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held a working meeting today with María José Gragera Ibáñez, head of the Border Control Post that the Government Delegation has at Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport. The meeting has addressed the ongoing work of these units.
The Government Delegation has attached at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport those known as border inspection points, where it carries out an inspection of the import and export of all those products of animal and plant origin for human consumption, to verify that they have all sanitary precautions. In addition, work is carried out to control the import and export of vegetables and live and pet animals, which are carried out by the services of veterinary control, animal health and plant health.
The inspection work also extends to the control of drugs and pharmaceutical products, to control the entry and exit of medicinal and cosmetic genera.
