The Government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, attended today the solemn act of Opening of the Autonomous Judicial Year 2023/24 at the High Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM).
The session was attended by its president, Celso Rodríguez, and the region’s senior prosecutor, Almudena Lastra, and by members of the General Council of the Judiciary, as well as magistrates and judges from different courts and one-person bodies, prosecutors, secretaries, heads of the different professional associations and personnel attached to the administration of justice.
The Madrid High Court of Justice is a judicial body that forms part of the general structure of the State’s single judicial power, adapted to its territorial competence. It is the highest judicial body in the territorial area of the autonomous community, without prejudice to the jurisdiction that corresponds to the Supreme Court and those matters that require constitutional guarantees, competence that corresponds to the Constitutional Court.
