The government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, visited this morning the Netflix Content Production Center, located in the town of Tres Cantos in Madrid. Martin Aguirre was greeted by Esperanza Ibáñez, Netflix’s Director of Public Policy for Spain and Portugal; Pablo Jimeno, CEO of Secuoya; and Beatriz Álvarez, Netflix’s Public Policy Coordinator for Spain and Portugal, who showed him the facilities.
With this visit, the government delegate in Madrid has been able to know first-hand the activity of Netflix in Spain, the impact of this activity throughout the country and the value chain associated with the production of audiovisual content. To this end, during the visit we have toured both studios and shooting platforms as well as editing, assembly and sound rooms equipped with the latest available technology.
The Netflix Content Production Center in Tres Cantos was opened in April 2019 with three studios, which were expanded to five in 2020, and a Postproduction Center. In November 2022, a second phase of the Center was inaugurated, with five additional studios, resulting in a total of 10 studios, 9 warehouses and several post-production facilities.
