Union representatives of Schneider Electric and of CC.OO. Today they handed over to the Government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, of the more than 4000 signatures they have obtained in support of their claim for the maintenance of production and employment in the plant that the French multinational has in Griñón.
In the meeting they held, the government delegate conveyed to them the commitment of the Government of Spain to the Madrid industry, which “materializes in the request to the Ministry of Industry to continue talks with this company to safeguard employment and monitor compliance with the commitments already reached and the current legality.”
It has also taken up its demand that the Community of Madrid “stop looking the other way” in this matter and make “more effective” use of the resources of the Industrial Plan, directing these capacities to sustaining employment and sustainable industrial technological development for the region.
