The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has today presided over the Local Security Board of Coslada together with the mayor of the municipality, Ángel Viveros, in which police coordination has been addressed for the Festivities, which will be held at the beginning of June, and during which he has highlighted the “good direction” in the evolution of crime data in the locality.
In 2022, compared to 2019, there was a decline in conventional crime of 9.4% and, so far in 2023, compared to 2022, the downward trend continues with a decrease of 12.2% in total criminal offenses.
Especially noteworthy is the 43.75% decrease in vehicle theft, a 13.7% decrease in violent or intimidated robberies, and a 9.5% decrease in forceful robberies. Regarding the latter, the government delegate wanted to acknowledge the “great work” of the National Police and the “so positive” impact that the crime prevention plans developed by the agents are having.
He has also welcomed the “very good” coordination between the Local Police and the National Police in the municipality, which makes it possible for the residents of Coslada to feel “safe and overwhelmed”, also during the celebration of the patron saint’s festivities, and which results in “very positive” crime clarification rates.
He has also acknowledged the work done by the Local Police to develop a security plan for these dates, a “very valuable” document with information of great relevance to the National Police.
