The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded a joint amount of 150.28 million euros (VAT included) for the surveillance and security services of Adif and Adif High Speed (AV) for the period from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2028, including the possibility of extension, as well as modifications foreseen by the implementation of new railway sections.
The works include the realization of surveillance and security in passenger stations, freight terminals, technical and administrative buildings and railway infrastructures of the different territorial demarcations.
The provision of these services is essential for the activity of Adif and Adif AV, given that both entities have been designated by the National Center for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CNPIC) as critical operators for the Railway Transport Subsectors and for Urban and Metropolitan transport.
In addition, a series of railway infrastructures have been defined as Critical Infrastructures, which means that the security services proposed, whose administration is the responsibility of both entities, are considered fundamental for Adif and Adif AV.
