The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU) has published the resolution renewing the distinction of ‘City of Science and Innovation’ to 17 municipalities in Spain that have opted decisively for innovative local policies in their territories, including Logroño.
In particular, this renovation has been granted to Abanto-Ziérbena (Bizcaia); Ejea de los Caballeros (Zaragoza); Etxebarri (Bizcaia); Gotarrendura (Ávila) and Los Santos de Maimona (Badajoz) in the category of cities with less than 20,000 inhabitants; a Alcoi (Alicante); Alzira (Valencia); Ontinyent (Valencia); Ribeira (La Coruña); Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona) category

The Innpulse Network is a meeting forum that aims to promote and recognize local administrations in terms of innovation, while promoting collaboration between the Network’s municipalities and improving the innovative potential of its members.
The Innpulse Network has a total of 109 cities of all sizes, committed to economic sustainability and whose growth must be based on knowledge and innovation. It should be noted that the Network is an increasingly active agent of innovation instruments such as the Public Purchase of Innovation, access to training programs and international promotion in events related to R+D+I, and financial resources for urban development projects.
