The DGT Campaign on School Transport Control concludes with 29 vehicles reported in La Rioja, 40% of those controlled

  • The Traffic Group of the Civil Guard and local police of Logroño and Arnedo inspected a total of 72 school transport vehicles
  • In total, the number of infringements filed is 53.
  • The purpose of verifying that this type of vehicles comply with the regulations established for school and child transport.

From November 10 to 14, the DGT carried out a surveillance and control campaign of school transport in La Rioja, which ended with 72 controlled vehicles, of which 29 were punished (40.27%). In total, the number of infringements filed is 53.

This is one of the usual surveillance and control campaigns carried out by the General Directorate of Traffic in order to verify that this type of vehicle complies with the regulations established for school and child transport.

In particular, the results obtained by the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard in the autonomous community were 56 controlled vehicles, 28 of them reported. The violations detected by the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard correspond to:

  • Special authorization for school transportation: 14
  • Unlimited civil liability insurance: 3
  • Absence of the V-10 School Transportation Signal: 3
  • Overtime driving or undertime rest greater than 50%: 19
  • Other infringements: 14

For their part, the local police of Logroño and Arnedo who participated in this campaign controlled 16 school transport vehicles, one of them being denounced.
