The Delegation of the Government of Spain in La Rioja has held today an information day aimed at 150 students of the IES Inventor Cosme García de Logroño with the aim of facilitating access to e-government.
In this session, officials from the Government Delegation in La Rioja explained what e-Government is and what its advantages are, while showing students how to relate to it, the different ways to identify electronically with the Administration and the main channels of access to public services.
Likewise, the students of the IES Inventor Cosme García have learned to obtain the Electronic Certificate, as well as their Cl@ve, in this participatory session.
The day at the IES Inventor Cosme García is the second that is held in Secondary Education and FP centers of the Community, after which it took place on October 30 at the IES Manuel Bartolomé Cossío de Haro. More than 500 students They will participate from now until the end of the year in these sessions, which will be repeated November 27th at the IES La Trabajo and December 18th, 2025, also in the IES Inventor Cosme García, while working on expanding it to more centers in 2026.
This action is part of the state programme 'The Administration near you', promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory with the aim of reducing the digital divide, especially among the most vulnerable groups.
The program, carried out by the Government Delegations and Subdelegations, was born with the initial objective of bringing the services of the General State Administration (AGE) closer to the citizens residing in municipalities that do not have physical headquarters of the AGE.
In this way, personnel of the Government Delegation in La Rioja move to different locations in La Rioja to manage procedures related to the public services of the General Administration of the State. Information and procedures from other AGE agencies, such as the State Public Employment Service, the National Social Security Institute and the General Traffic Directorate, have also been incorporated.
Thus, it is facilitated that the residents of the rural areas, which are a large majority of the municipalities in the case of La Rioja, can carry out different administrative procedures without having to move from their places of residence to the capital, feeling that they access public services under equal conditions.
