The data analyzed in the Local Security Board of Haro certifies that the crime rate of this municipality of Rioja stood at 36.81 criminal offenses per thousand inhabitants at the end of 2024, a figure slightly higher than that recorded in 2023, which amounted to 35.6.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, and the mayor of Haro, Guadalupe Fernández Prado, presided this morning the meeting in which they analyzed the evolution of security in this municipality.
Arraiz Nalda wanted to highlight the increase in the percentage of clarification of criminal offenses, reaching 43.9% last year, up from 37.6% in 2023. From January to May of this year, the figure is even higher, reaching 52.5% of clarification.
For the government delegate, “these figures are a demonstration of the great professionals available to the Civil Guard.”
On the other hand, the rate of arrests for every thousand known criminal offenses also increased, from 270.5 in 2023 to 314 last year.
According to the data provided by the Civil Guard, in 2024 he became aware of 433 criminal offenses in Haro, 19 more than in 2023.
Focusing on the first five months of the year, it is significant the decrease that has been recorded with respect to the same period of the year in robberies with force, going from 33 to 11. As for the robberies on agricultural and livestock farms, in the first five months of the year 1 has been known, already clarified, and 5 January to May in 2024.

In relation to the data provided by the VioGén System - Comprehensive Monitoring System in Cases of Gender Violence - according to current figures, in Haro there are 21 active cases of male violence. Of these, 4 present an unappreciated level of risk, 12 low, 5 medium irrigation and none high or extreme.
