The Delegation of the Government of Spain in La Rioja, in collaboration with the City Council of Logroño and the Motor Group of Ciudad Amigable, organized yesterday an information day aimed at elderly people to facilitate access to e-government.
The day, held in the Multiple Uses Room of the City of Logroño, is part of the state program 'The Administration Near You', promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory with the aim of reducing the digital divide, especially among the most vulnerable groups.
Public employees of the Government Delegation have explained, in a participatory presentation of approximately one hour, the different ways of identifying themselves electronically with the Administration, the main channels of access to public services and the most common procedures that can be carried out, in a way adapted to the profile of the attendees.
Subsequently, they have helped the attendees to obtain their Electronic Certificate or Permanent Cl@ve to make digital arrangements with bodies such as Social Security, the General Traffic Directorate, the Ministry of Justice or the City of Logroño.
In addition, the employees of the Delegation have assisted the participants in downloading and installing mobile applications such as the Citizen Folder, MiDGT or Your Social Security, and have resolved doubts individually and collectively. It is also a question of citizens being able to carry out their procedures and procedures from their computer or mobile phone.
'The Administration Near You'
Through the ‘The Administration near you’ initiative, public employees of the Government Delegation in La Rioja move to different locations in the Community to provide and manage procedures related to the public services of the General Administration of the State, without citizens having to travel to Logroño.
The aim of the plan is to have a public administration that is accessible, close and useful to everyone, including the elderly, and that adapts to the real needs of citizens.
