The Government delegate in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz, visited today the investments financed by the Government of Spain in Arnedillo, which will allow the renovation of the old town and the improvement of the water supply network. These actions, with a total investment of more than 500,000 euros, consolidate the commitment of the Central Executive to the development and modernization of the rural environment of Rioja.
During the visit, the Government delegate has traveled the Plaza Félix Merino and Amancio González Street, where an integral redevelopment is being carried out with an investment of 500,000 euros, financed through the Territorial Restitution Plan of the Enciso Dam. This project will involve the renovation of the cobblestones and sanitation networks, improving accessibility to the old town and strengthening safety in the event of torrential rains.
“With these actions, Arnedillo becomes a municipality better prepared for the future, with more modern infrastructures and adapted to the needs of its neighbors and visitors,” said Arraiz. This intervention will be key to minimize flood risks and improve mobility on one of the main roads of the municipality.
The Government delegate has also stressed the importance of these investments in the structuring of the territory and the promotion of the municipalities of La Rioja. “The Government of Spain is fully committed to the modernization of our rural infrastructures, guaranteeing quality services and betting on a balanced development of the territory. Actions like these show that the rural environment is a priority on our agenda,” he said.
For his part, the mayor of Arnedillo, Pedro Montalvo, wanted to thank “the support of the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Ecological Transition to complete this essential action for the old town of Arnedillo that completes the one carried out on Yasa Street in the previous legislature also within the framework of the Territorial Restitution Plan of the Enciso Dam totaling between both almost a million euros of investment”.
Montalvo has expressed his confidence that “in the near future we can continue to count on the support and financing of the Government of Spain for the actions planned by the City Council for the valuation of the thermal resources of the municipality, and in particular, of its famous thermal pools”
The visit of the Government delegate reaffirms the commitment of the National Executive to the progress of La Rioja, ensuring that the rural environment has the infrastructures and services necessary for the well-being of its neighbors and the economic boost of Arnedillo.
