El Comité de seguimiento del Programa Regional FEDER de La Rioja ha visitado la empresa tecnológica de producción de nanomateriales de última generación Avanzare, que ha recibido un total de 106.400 euros del fondo FEDER para tres proyectos de I+D+I.
One of these projects develops new biotechnological systems for the process of elaboration and control of wine production, in order to minimize the impact of climatic conditions. Another aims to develop solar filters for synthetic quartz for use in outdoor parts. The last of the projects develops polyolefins with high resistance to ultraviolet radiation for the manufacture of outdoor parts as well.
Avanare manufactures components for different sectors such as automotive, footwear, aeronautics, textiles, wood, paper, packaging and food.
The Committee also visited the packaging company Toybe, which received ERDF aid of 252,890 euros to finance several projects with a total investment of one million euros, linked to the improvement of energy efficiency, the improvement of its productive capacity and digitalization.
Approval of selection criteria and procedures
The Monitoring Committee of the La Rioja ERDF Regional Programme analyses annually the deployment of these European funds in the region.
This year’s meeting will give impetus to the implementation of projects for the period 2021-2027, with the approval of the Criteria and Procedures for Selection of Operations (CPSO), a document that sets out the general criteria to be followed to select the projects to be financed during this period from the ERDF.
The FEDER Program 2021-2027 of La Rioja
The FEDER Program of La Rioja foresees an aid of 40 million euros in the region in the period 2021-2027.
Around 40% is earmarked for policy objective 1 of the funds: a more competitive and intelligent EU, especially through the promotion of R+D+I projects in the business sector, clusters and sectoral associations, as well as the digitisation of the public sector, including the field of health services.
This last operation, known as Health-A, has an ERDF aid of 2.7 million euros and aims to develop innovative procedures to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation of patients in a personalized way, as well as improving access to the benefits of the public health service.
Another 57% has as its target the political objective 2: a greener EU, with lines of action such as the promotion of energy efficiency of public buildings, residential and SME use, the promotion of renewable energies both in companies and homes or the improvement in waste treatment.
In this context, the NITREMU operation stands out, which provides for new municipal waste treatment facilities. With an aid of EUR 5 million, it will increase the preparation capacities for the recycling of waste from light packaging (plastic packaging, cans and cardboard packaging for beverages) and bio-waste.
