The delegate of the Government of Spain in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, and the mayor of Calsalvo, Mónica Arceiz, presided this morning the meeting of the Local Security Board of the municipality.
Arraiz Nalda stressed that “the Government of Spain was not unaware of the increase in crime figures in this municipality of La Rioja Baja and, therefore, the presence of the Civil Guard has increased with the implementation of an operational security plan”.
In this way, agents of the Citizen Security Unit of the Civil Guard in Navarre are strengthening the services in this area, with the purpose of preventing and acting in the face of criminal acts, increasing surveillance in the most sensitive points and creating an optimal security environment.
In addition, agents from other companies in the X Zone are also strengthening security. Therefore, “the effective presence of Civil Guard agents in the locality is greater than ever”.
As the Government delegate has specified, the impact of this operational security plan is already demonstrating its effectiveness, according to the crime data in January 2024.
Thus, Arraiz Nalda explained that comparing the months of January 2023 and 2024, the known infractions have been considerably reduced. While in January 2023 the Civil Guard learned of 106 criminal offenses in Calsalvo, in 2024 they have dropped to 66. In particular, crimes against property - which include theft and damage, among others - have decreased, going from 76 to 51 in January 2023 to January 2024, respectively.
In addition, the delegate wanted to highlight the great work being done by the Civil Guard. Thus, last month 29 administrative infractions were filed for possession and consumption of drugs, 9 more than in January 2023.
Another example of the high effectiveness of the Civil Guard in Calsalvo is the increase in the rate of clarification. According to the latest data available in the crime balance of September 2023, the percentage of clarified crimes stood at 41.8%, higher than that obtained at the end of 2022, which was 35.5%.
“Both the Government of Spain and the Civil Guard are invested with the security of Calahorsa and its environment and this will is demonstrated with data that are certifying the effectiveness of the Armed Institute in this locality,” he insisted.
For her part, the mayor of Calsalvo thanked the delegate of the Government for having “had the deference to hold this Local Security Board on the occasion of the celebration of our winter patron saint’s parties. It is only three days, very concentrated and with multitudinous acts but in which there will be a large security device perfectly coordinated with all agents of the State Security Forces, which will also be reinforced with more agents of the Civil Guard.”
Likewise, “as security is a priority for this municipal government team, Mónica Arceiz has requested the collaboration of the Delegation for the installation of citizen security cameras, which complement the new 13 traffic surveillance cameras installed in the city and which will come into operation”.
The mayor has also announced that on March 1 in the afternoon there will be a Local Police security point in the City of Calsalvo during the blowjob.
