The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has formalized by the amount of 349,249.28 euros (VAT included) the contract of works for the conditioning and humanization of the stretch of road that connects the southern roundabout of the link of the N-232 road, at km 458, and the roundabout of San Sebastián Street in the town of Cuzcurrita del Río Tirón, in the province of La Rioja. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The objective of the action is to integrate the aforementioned section as an urban road, putting the pedestrian in the center with the creation of sidewalks with wooded itineraries, LED lighting, installation of urban furniture and measures to reduce the speed of traffic.
The project will be financed from NextGenerationEU funds, within the cross-country humanisation programme of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), which plans to invest EUR 105 million (VAT not included) to promote a more sustainable, inclusive and accessible urban environment.
