Users of Renfe’s public service trains in La Rioja grew by almost 86% between January and September of this year compared to the same period in 2022.
Thus, medium-distance train passengers in the Rioja community exceeded 135,800 in the first nine months of the year, compared to just over 73,100 last year. These figures represent a consolidation of the increases that Renfe’s services are registering, with more than 78.4 million new customers compared to last year. The multitude of destinations, the large number of frequencies, the confidence in Renfe trains and government initiatives such as Verano Joven and free subscriptions have been the main reasons why customers have chosen these services to make their trip.
