The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has signed a contract to draft projects of different conservation, environmental integration and other road safety actions in the State Road Network in La Rioja with a tender budget of 680,000 euros. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The purpose of the contract is the provision of services for the drafting of projects for the delineation and construction of conservation works classified by the following types:
- Superficial and/or structural rehabilitation of firm.
- Improvement of road safety (improvements of links or intersections, rearrangement of accesses, braiding lanes, speed change lanes, conditioning, etc. ), capacity increases (expansion of the number of lanes, duplications, etc. ), improved connectivity, structures, etc.
- Installation, replacement, repair or improvement of road elements (vertical signage, road markings, marking, containment systems, etc. ).
Technical characteristics
The proper maintenance of the roads requires the tender and realization of conservation works additional to the actions carried out with the contracts of conservation and exploitation by sectors in which the State Road Network is divided.
Law 9/2017 of Public Sector Contracts requires to be able to tender a works contract the elaboration of a project on which they are based.
The drafting of conservation projects is a laborious, protracted and specialized activity, due to its own technical complexity and extension, to the growing legal and technical regulation applicable to the projects, and finally to the final quality required of them during their supervision.
