The BOE publishes today the agreements adopted at the Sectoral Conference on Education on June 7, 2023, in which the territorial distribution for six different programs for La Rioja is approved
A first agreement plans to allocate 2,175,285 euros to La Rioja for the School Code 4.0 Program, which aims to train 40,895 Rioja students from the second cycle of Infant, Primary and Secondary Education enrolled in public and concerted centers of the autonomous community in robotics, programming and new technologies.
Of this amount, 1,432,140 euros will be used for programming and robotic equipment in 116 schools. Another 743,145 euros will be for the accompaniment and support of teachers: it will consist of hiring assistants of technological and pedagogical profiles to support teachers in teaching these contents in a transitory way until they are trained.
On the other hand, the BOE publishes the agreement adopted with the investment of more than 2.5 million euros to help families and students in La Rioja with difficulties: 2,137,169 euros correspond to the PROA+ program and 366,379 euros to the Accompaniment Units program.
The PROA+ educational support and reinforcement program will benefit students from schools of special educational complexity. With these funds, the centers commit to develop a support plan that includes actions such as reinforcement during school and non-school hours, co-teaching, tutoring, training for families or other activities that seek to avoid early school leaving.
As for the Accompaniment Units, the objective is to work directly and personalized with students at risk of early abandonment to support them in their educational trajectory from Primary and until the completion of Secondary or Baccalaureate.
In addition, the BOE publishes the approved agreement with a budget of 315,327 euros to help Rioja families deal with the cost of textbooks and school materials, including digital materials, for students from publicly funded schools.
On the other hand, 492,986 euros will be allocated to La Rioja for the Territorial Cooperation Program of Inclusive Education to improve attention to the diversity of students and their specific educational support needs. The aim is to offer additional staff resources and more training for the centres, as well as support and collaboration between special and ordinary education centres and also the families themselves.
Finally, the BOE publishes the territorial distribution agreement of the Emotional Well-being Program of the educational community, which for Rioja contemplates 64,219 euros. The aim is to improve detection, intervention and prevention in the area of emotional health.
