The Minimum Vital Income (IMV) has reached 4 130 households in Rioja in which 11 829 people live, according to the statistics published today by the National Institute of Social Security with the corresponding data at the end of February.
This benefit, which is paid by the Social Security, is having a special impact on the reduction of child poverty, since of the total number of beneficiaries residing in La Rioja, 5 329 are minors (45.05%).
According to these data, in 2 425 households the benefit holder is a woman (58.71%) and, if the total number of beneficiaries is taken into account, 53.55% are women (6 335).
In Spain, the IMV benefit has reached 1 633 474 beneficiaries, of which 42.9% are minors. In two out of three of the 576 097 households that have received the IMV, the holder is a woman.
Child Support Supplement
Regarding the number of benefits with the Child Support Supplement (CAPI), 2 284 have already been recognized in La Rioja until the end of February. The ICSC, which entered into force on January 1, is an aid of 100 euros per household per month for children from 0 to 3 years old; 70 euros per month for each child between 3 and 6 years old and 50 euros per month for each child between 6 and 18 years old.
