In total, on Sunday, 1,249 electoral tables will be constituted in the Balearic Islands, which is 34 more than for the general elections of November 2019. The delegate of the Government in the Balearic Islands, Aina Calvo, thanked in advance the participation of the citizens called to join one of the tables, and also highlighted the work of the official staff of the General Administration of the State in the Balearic Islands in these days before the elections, which guarantees, she said, “that the citizens can exercise their right to vote.”
During the election day, 1,651 officers of the Civil Guard, the National Police and local police of the different municipalities will be deployed in the archipelago. In recent weeks security meetings have been held on each island to organize the security device, with the aim of ensuring maximum coordination of all parties and making it possible for the electorate to exercise their right to vote.
On the other hand, a total of 724 representatives of the administrations will be distributed among the 378 polling stations from where they will transmit the incidents, in the event that they occur, as well as the provisional data of participation and the scrutiny of the results from the closure. The Government of Spain will offer hearings throughout the day to inform the development of the day, which can be followed through the website of the Ministry of the Interior,http://resultados.generales23j.es/, which will be enabled from tomorrow, Friday.
It should be remembered that, according to the Electoral Regime Law, the members designated for the polling stations have to go to exercise their functions and cannot leave or desist without a justified cause and the corresponding notice to be absent. Failure to comply with this obligation may result in criminal liability
