Mitma grants more than 7 M€ of European funds to four local entities of the islands to rehabilitate public buildings
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has granted more than 7 million euros in aid from the European funds NextGenerationEU to four local entities of the Balearic Islands for the development of projects for the rehabilitation of public buildings. In particular, the grants have been granted to the Menorca Island Council and the municipalities of Lloseta, Inca and Calvià and are part of the package of almost 294 million euros distributed by Mitma throughout the Spanish territory, within Line 2 of the program of integral rehabilitation of public buildings of local ownership (Pirep local).
Specifically, the Consell de Menorca receives 3 M€ for the Sa Granja Rural Lab project. Another 3 M€ are intended for the rehabilitation of the Environmental Innovation and Ecological Transition Center of the Public Estate located in the public estate of Galatzó (Calvià), while the restoration of the main building of the General Luque de Inca Headquarters receives an aid of 1 M€. Finally, the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has awarded just over 236,000 euros to the reform of the old City of Lloseta.
The projects accepted under Line 2 had to comply with at least two of the three scale requirements set out in the Basic Ministerial Order: to have a construction budget equal to or greater than 500,000 euros, to collect an intervention in at least 1,000 square meters of surface and, finally, that the degree of intervention of the action is equal to or greater than 500 euros/m2.
