- The SEPE allocates more than 25 million euros to finance Tandem programs aimed at foreign boys and girls tutored and extutored by public administrations
- Applications can be submitted electronically until the 24th of August included
The sub-delegate of the Government in Lugo, Olimpia López, encourages the entities of the third sector of the province to present projects to the new call for subsidies of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE), endowed with 25 million euros and intended to finance experienciais programs of employment and training Tandem.
This call is addressed to young foreigners whose guard and guardianship is or was assumed by the public administrations and the interested entities have until August 24 to submit their applications, which must be formalized electronically through the headquarters of the SEPE.
In this regard, the subdelegate highlights that "the commitment of Lugo's associative network to inclusion and equal opportunities is key to our society" and encourages "the entities of the third sector of the province to present their projects and take this opportunity to offer training and paid employment to migrant youth, who have greater difficulties to access the labor market".
The purpose of the call is to finance projects that combine training, paid employment and accompaniment, favoring the employment of migrant children who are tutored and extutored through pathways of professional qualification in alternation with the work practice. Private non-profit entities that certify the management of housing resources for young people under guardianship or ex-guardianship, as well as those with experience in the management of public programs of active employment policies that collaborate with this type of entities, may apply for this aid. Groupings of entities may also compete.
The programs will last for 12 months. During the first three months, the participants will receive exclusive training with full entitlement to a SEPE exchange and, nine months later, they will combine the training with a contract of alternation training, acquiring paid professional experience.
Training activities may be carried out in areas such as the recovery and promotion of historical, artistic, cultural or natural heritage, the rehabilitation of urban and natural environments, energy efficiency, renewable energies, activities based on digital technology or any other activity of public utility or social interest that facilitates the employment of the participants.
With this call, the Government of Spain reinforces the support to the social entities that work with the most vulnerable migrant youth, promoting projects that combine professional qualification, work experience and accompaniment to promote their full social and labor integration.
