The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning the traditional act of tribute to the staff at the service of the General Administration of the State in Galicia. The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, Julio Abalde, also participated in the event.
Pedro Blanco highlighted the work of the AGE officials in Galicia and imposed the badges of honor on the staff of the Delegation and the Subdelegation of the Government in A Coruña retired during this year. Eight of the retirees took part in the event, and a silver pin was given to them with the image of the Delegation.
On behalf of all of them spoke Arcadio García Tizón, who served in the Delegation since its inception in the 1980s.
Special distinctions
In this act, two distinctions were awarded to active and also retired personnel in recognition of public service, in particular that provided in extraordinary events.
The first of these distinctions fell to the official of the Health and Social Policy area of the Government Delegation, Mar Añón Muñiz. The second recognition, to the retired staff, went to Purification Ramos López, who has just retired after 50 years of active service in the General Administration of the State. He began working at the age of 18 in the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture in Lugo. Her professional career led her to A Coruña, in the field of Health, in MUFACE in Madrid, and again in A Coruña, in the Civil Government and, since 1995, in the Maritime Captaincy of A Coruña.
In these fifty years of service, among other situations, he worked in the management of the Casón accident, together with the then civil governor Andrés Moreno; the Aegean Sea, during the mandate of the civil governor Pilar Lledó; or the Prestige, which lived live already from the Maritime Captaincy of A Coruña.
In the act, the government delegate imposed on him the Official Cross of the Order of Civil Merit, which has been granted by the government in response to professional merits and the public service performed in the Administration.
