At the meeting it was agreed to strengthen security in the town hall in view of the festivities of the Xunqueira and San Roque. Cee has a crime rate below the national, regional and provincial average.
A total of 367 people from the educational communities of Cee participated in the activities of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in the Educational Centers and their Contours.
The deputy delegate of the Government of Spain in A Coruña, María Rivas, presided this morning the Xunta Local de Seguridad in the City of Cee, together with the mayor Margarita Lamela, in a meeting convened to analyze the collaboration of the Forces and Security Bodies of the State on the occasion of the celebration of the festivities of the Xunqueira and San Roque.
The Government’s deputy delegate undertook to strengthen the security means to ensure the proper conduct of these celebrations. “The operation designed is designed to ensure the correct development of all parties, with special attention to the moments and spaces with the greatest influx of people,” said the subdelegate.

State Pact against Gender Violence
During the meeting, the deputy delegate highlighted the important investment that the Government of Spain allocates to municipalities to strengthen public policies against gender violence, after the decision to allocate funds from the State Pact against Gender Violence for the year 2025 was made public. In this call, the municipalities of the province of A Coruña will receive a total of 783,522.87 euros, an amount more than 20,000 euros than last year. Specifically, the City Council of Cee will receive 4,838.23€.
“Once again, the Government of Spain shows its firm commitment to equality and to the fight against gender violence. These more than 783,000 euros allocated to the municipalities of the province of A Coruña will allow to reinforce municipal resources and develop fundamental actions to prevent and eradicate this social scourge. It is an important contribution, greater than last year, which demonstrates the clear will to continue moving forward in a fairer and safer society for women,” said the deputy delegate.

Master Plan for Educational Coexistence
María Rivas highlighted, in the field of prevention, the relevance of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Educational Centers and their Contours, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior. Through this program, the Civil Guard carried out 23 activities in three educational centers in Cee, with 367 participants from the educational community. The activities focused on cybersecurity and ICT issues, bullying and cyberbullying, issues of gender violence, and addictions in gambling or video games. “The Master Plan addresses the current concerns of families and teachers, incorporating relevant topics and connected with the reality of students,” said Rivas.
The Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Educational Centers and Their Contours is a program of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of Spain that aims at coordination between the educational community and the Security Forces and Bodies to prevent and detect situations of risk among new people, as well as sensitize students and contribute to their training in respect for fundamental rights and the values of equality and human dignity.
