Eladio Santos encourages more than 30,000 young people from Ourense between 18 and 30 years of age to benefit from discounts of up to 90% for travel this summer

The subdelegate explained that the program has a double objective: "promote the use of public transport, more sustainable, and help young people to enjoy holidays and make daily trips" He recalled that in 2024 the Young Summer facilitated that 2.3 million young people from Spain made 5.2 million trips "This great reception shows that the efforts of the Government are in the right direction, in that of allowing young people to move freely, know different places and share experiences in an acceptable way", he remarked

The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, today encouraged the more than 30,000 young people between 18 and 30 years old who live in the province to benefit from discounts of up to 90% to travel in Europe and Spain this summer. He did so during the presentation of the Xove Summer program of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

During the event, held outside the Ourense train station, the subdelegate explained that people between 18 and 30 lambs (born between January 1, 1995 and December 31, 2007) can register for the program on the web http://veranojoven.transportes.gob.es and get discounts by train and bus in the months of July, August and September.

Eladio Santos explained that this program, which reaches its third edition this year, has a double objective. "On the one hand, the government aims to promote the use of public transport, more sustainable than private vehicles, and on the other hand, to help new people enjoy holidays and make daily trips," he said.

In addition, the subdelegate recalled that in 2024 the Youth Summer facilitated that 2.3 million young people from Spain had made 5.2 million trips. "This great reception shows that the government's efforts are going in the right direction, in that of allowing young people to move freely, to know different places and share experiences in an acceptable way," he said.

The program, which has more than one and a half million registered users to date, includes various bonuses for single and round trip tickets to travel through Spain by train and bus, in addition to the Interrail for Europe between July 1 and September 30, 2025. The discounts contemplated in the Young Summer program are the following:

  • Discount of 90% for regular bus services of state competition.
  • 90% discount on conventional half distance and metric width network services.
  • 50% discount on simple Avant titles.
  • Discount of 50%, with a maximum of 30 euros per ticket, for long-distance or high-speed commercial services of all railway operators.
  • Discount of it 50% of it Global Flexible from Interrail for 10 days in 2 months, when it is marketed through Renfe. The rebate applies to Interrail’s official rates.
