We will also have the Mobile Brigade and the Citizen Security Unit. For aerial surveillance this year we will have drones and an anti-drone system, and also with the support of a helicopter. Also incorporated into the device is a cavalry detachment that will be present mainly in the Monte do Gozo, but which will also be in the Alameda area. This large operation, composed of 250 personnel, will work in coordination and permanent collaboration with the Local Police and with the rest of the emergency services typical of these festivities.”
To carry out this coordination task, a police coordination center will be installed at the National Police Station of Santiago, which will be operational from 15:00 to 2:30 hours on Friday, 24, and from 7:00 to 15:30. on Saturday 25th.
“An important reinforcement of means, with which we want to respond to the request of the City Council. However, we also appeal to respect the recommendations of the authorities at all times so that these dates are a guarantee of fun, but also of security,” said Rivas.
The deputy delegate expressed to the mayor the support and total willingness to collaborate with the City Council from the Government Subdelegation and from the State Security Forces and Corps, and establish the necessary devices to avoid any type of incident in those events that gather a greater number of people during the holidays, always in coordination with the Local Police and municipal and emergency services.
